Camp Crame, Quezon City – The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) under the leadership of PBGEN JOEL B DORIA, conducted a total of seven (7) Police Initiated Operations from December 30, 2022 to January 5, 2023.
These operations include four (4) Entrapment Operations, and three (3) Service of Warrants of Arrest.
In the conduct of Entrapment Operations, one was arrested for Violations of RA 7138, an Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distributor, and Use of Firecrackers and Pyrotechnic Device.
On the other hand, two (2) were arrested for Violations of Art 294 (Robbery Extortion) in Relation to Sec of RA 10175.
One suspect was also nabbed for violating RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Children and RA 11313 (Safe Space Act or Bawal Bastos Act).
And another one, was apprehended for Violations of Art 286 (Grave Coercion), Art 294 (Robbery Extortion), RA 9262, RA 9995 all in relation to Section 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
Three (3) Warrants of Arrest were implemented which led to the arrest of three (3) Wanted Persons (2 males and 1 female).
Two (2) male individuals were both arrested for Violations of Section 4 (c) (4) of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) while a female suspect was nabbed for Violations of RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009).
ACG also conducted three hundred thirty-four (334) Cyber Patrolling to different Social Media Platforms and websites, handled a total of two hundred (200) Digital Forensic Examinations, and filed nine (9) cases at the Office of the Prosecutor.
In the Group’s effort to raise its Cybercrime Awareness Campaign, a total of three hundred twenty-six (326) social media cards were posted, thirty-five (35) lectures and dialogues were carried out and three (3) radio/tv interviews were handled for the week.
