Camp Crame Quezon City - A-28-year old, male suspect was arrested by personnel of the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU), PNP ACG in Quezon City on the evening of January 11, 2023, at about 9:55 PM.


According to PCOL RHODORA MAYLAS, Chief, WCCPU the complainant appeared before the office of PNP ACG to lodge a complaint against the suspect for allegedly threatening her of exposing their explicit videos on social media.

Based on the statement of the victim, during the period of her relationship with the suspect, she suffered physical and emotional abuse every time they have a heated argument which led to their break-up sometime in October 2022.

On December 11, 2022, the victim received messages from two (2) Facebook Accounts of the suspect containing their sex videos. The suspect demanded a meet-up and sex in exchange for the deletion of their sex videos.

On January 11, 2023, the victim once again received a message from the suspect containing their sex videos and again demanded a meet-up and sex otherwise, he will not stop bothering her.

After a thorough evaluation of the information, an entrapment operation was set in place, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The arrested person will be facing Criminal charges for Violations of RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism), RA 9262 (Violation Against Women and Children), and Art 286 (Grave Coercion) all in relation to Sec 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) and is currently in the custody of PNP ACG Custodial Facility.
