Brian Bucad y Vilvar, 30 years old, a.k.a. Christian Nagzakie was arrested for violations of RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act), Article 294 of RPC (Robbery with intimidation), RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act), and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) committed by, through and with the use of Information and Communications Technologies under Section 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act).
The suspect was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group on September 5, 2015, at about 1:35 PM at Pizza Hut restaurant, SM Shopping Mall, San Lazaro, Manila based on the complaints filed by @ Jenny, a minor and his father.
PSSUPT EDWIN C ROQUE, Acting Director, PNP ACG said that @ Jenny received an email from one Christian Nagzakie looking for a part time or full time model and will receive 3,000.00 to 5,000.00 pesos for every shoot. She immediately replied to the email and asked the suspect on the requirements. The suspect replied that she must send one (1) valid ID, two (2) whole body, two (2) whole body in bikini and two (2) naked photographs.
PSSUPT ROQUE, further said that the suspect is using “CHRISTIAN NAGZAKIE” on his Facebook account claiming he is a professional photographer of Niceprint Photography, a company allegedly owned by TV5. The suspect also claimed that he knows Bob Cruz, a talent manager of big television companies in the Philippines.
According to the victim, she sent her naked picture on the promise that the suspect will delete it after giving the pictures to the talent manager or producer. After receiving the photograph, the suspect threatened the victim that he will post the photo on her social media account with her name, if she will not give him ten thousand pesos and her iphone or agrees to a one nightstand.
The PNP ACG again advises the public to never trust strangers on the Internet. Many of these strangers are cyber criminals pretending to be legitimate companies offering part time and full time jobs.
Online recruitment of models is one of the modus operandi of these criminals to harm Internet users in exchange for money or sexual favor. Most of the victims are minors and college students who wanted to become models.
The parents must also understand that children are now into using the Internet. They must also know how to protect their children from these online crimes by reporting similar incidents to the police for immediate investigation and arrest of suspect/s.
