In celebration of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group 3rdAnniversary, the Group, in partnership with UNICEF Philippines, is holding theANGELNET Summit 2016 entitled “Keeping Our Children Safe Online”at Holiday Inn Clark, Clark Field, Pampanga.

According to PSSUPT GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, Acting Director, PNP ACG, this Summit is a one-day activity full of information on how we can guide our children to be safe when they are online. Through this summit, the parents, who are primarily responsible for their children, will be taught the tools they can use to keep their children safe whenever they are online, even without being technically adeptregarding the internet. The teachers, as educators, will be provided information on their role on addressing online child abuse cases. Meanwhile, the barangay officials, as first responders, will be oriented on their roles and functions in reporting online child abuses and keeping the children in their community free from dangers on the internet.

This Summit will be attended by more or less 500 participants, composed of parents, teachers, barangay officials, WCPDs of Police Regional Office 3 and other concerned stakeholders representing the seven (7) provinces and two (2) chartered cities of Region III.

The invited guest lecturers are from the PNP ACG Angelnet partners, such as the Department of Justice, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Education, and non-government organizations and international counterparts, who are experts on the subject matter and have extensive experience in dealing with computer-facilitated crimes against children.
